Rio de Janeiro Airport - Santos-Dumont statue:
At the Rio de Janeiro Airport, named after Santos-Dumont, there is a statue of Icarus in the courtyard park in front of the airport as a tribute to flight. Prominently, on one side of the statue is a seated Alberto Santos-Dumont clearly pondering flight. His right hand rests on the cylinder head of a piston engine, and the familiar shape of a rigid airship is immediately behind him.

There is also a nice bust of Alberto Santos-Dumont in the airport concourse. It is located in front of one an aviation-related mural. If you happen to be at the Santos-Dumont airport and take the time to see the Santos-Dumont park, also be sure to look up this bust in the concourse.

Santos-Dumont Statue, Parque Nacional do Iguaçu:
In 1916, Albertos Santos-Dumont visited the Iguassu Falls when they were still private property. So strong was the love of native Santos Dumont in Brazil, that in 1979, a statue of Santos Dumont was dedicated near the place he had visited.
